A building today.
A legacy for tomorrow.
The Jacob W. Gonmiah Memorial Health & Wellness Center is being built in Duanpa Town, Nimba County, Liberia, in honor of a life we loved, and in service of a community that needs it.
Our Why
After Jacob passed in 2024, our family was left with grief, and also with the love and generosity of those who helped us lay him to rest. With the funds we had left, we decided to plant something meaningful in his honor. Not just a memory, but something that could grow.
That seed became the Jacob W. Gonmiah Memorial Health and Wellness Center, a space we are building in our home village of Duanpa Town to serve our community and the surrounding towns.
50,000+
people across three districts this center will serve
30+ km
the distance many families currently travel for basic medical care
100%
family-funded so far, with the help of generous supporters
Built one phase at a time.
We broke ground in January 2025, not long after Jacob passed. Since then, progress has moved with two things outside our control: Liberia's rainy and dry seasons, and what we're able to fund along the way.
